Anushka, who is known for her ease to portray any character whether it is a strong character like it was in 'Arundathi' or a glamorous role, is coming with another strong character & a heroin oriented movie titled "Varna". This 55 crore high budgeted movie reached the post-productin stage after completing it's shooting completely. Arya is the male lead in the movie. Interesting thing of this movie is that it has both Anushka & Arya playing dual roles in the movie. Anushka will be seen both as a doctor(present times) and a tribal queen(flash back) in the movie. The movie is directed by Sri Raghava. The movie is produced by Param V.Potluri. This movie is reported to be the first one to be shot extensively in the former Soviet Union Country 'Georgia'. The movie is reported to be shot in the extreme wather conditions of Georgia for 40 days and the scenes shot in Georgia are said to be the highlights of the movie.
