Here is another great news for all the Telugu speaking people after the news of NTR's statue has been erected in Parliament, the Tollywood's popular classic 'Mayabazaar' has been choosen as India's greatest movie that ever been made in a poll conducted by CNN-IBN. The nation wide poll was conducted by CNN-IBN on the occasion of 100 Years Of Indian Cinema. What's very interesting part of the result of this nation wide poll is that, 'Mayabazaar' is able to very popular Hindi movies like Sholay and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. The movie has received 16,960(23.91% of) votes. Another Telugu movie Shiva(1989), has managed to get 7th place in the list.

Mayabazaar is known for it's VFX, Cinematography and Art Direction with the then available technology. This mythological classic was directed by K.V.Reddy and jointly produced by Nagi Reddy and Chakrapani. The all time great singer & music director has provided the music to this movie. The movie has all time great actors of Tollywood, NTR, ANR, SVR, Savithri, etc., and it was released on March 27, 1957. And later dubbed in Kannada and remade in Tamil.
