Many of us only know that Siddharth, the ever green lover boy of South Indian Film Industry, has made his debut in cinefield as an actor with Shankar's "Boys" movie. But, as a matter of fact, his entrance into cinefield was in the form of an Assistant Director under Mani Ratnam, for the movie "Kannathil Muthamittal". Refreshing his old memories and let people like us, who only know his roots as an actor, tweeted that "Being Mani Ratnams Asst. Director on Kannathil Muthamittal was my beginning. Thank you mani sir. Thank you for giving me my dream". He also he posted a pic taken on the location of "Kannathil Muthamittal" and tweeted "12 years ago.On location Kannathil muthamittal. With Sabu Cyril, Dinesh Selvaraj, R.Kannan. Spot the geek:) Memories". The nteresting news doesn't stop there, he said he lost almost 14 kgs of his weight working as Assistant Director of that movie. "I lost over 14 kilos and got sun burnt working as an AD. My mother refused to recognise me. This picture really made my day:)".
