It was a records shattering movie, a trendsetter, record creator & so on..on and on. It was the movie, that marked the start of Mahesh Babu's dominance on Tollywood and taken his career into another level. By now, you might have got the idea, that we are talking about 'Pokiri'. 'Pokiri', has it's name written in golden letters no only in Mahesh Babu's career but also in the history of Tollywood. The movie broke many records, that previously set by prominent actors like Chiranjeevi, that many believed to be never happen. You may be thinking, why are we talking about 'Pokiri' now?, because if it is to be believed the recent report of a daily news paper, the movie was not written for Mahesh Babu, infact he was not the part of plans of director Puri Jagannath, when he prepared the script of it. Then who was it?, it is 'Mass Maharaja' Ravi Teja, that was supposed to do the film. The report goes on to say that the movie was originally named as 'Uttam Singh S/o Suryanarayana' and Ravi Teja, Parvathi Melton were supposed to be the lead pair of the movie. But for undisclosed reasons, may be it's because of fate of Ravi Teja, Parvathi Melton and Mahesh Babu, Ileana, the latter duo replaced the former and the movie has been renamed as 'Pokiri'. And the rest is the history.

Spare of thought for the Ravi Teja & Parvathi Melton, especially Parvathi Melton, whose career should have been sky rocketed to high levels, had she been casted in the movie.
