It is already known that Anushka Shetty is busy with the periodic drama 'Rudhrama Devi', which is being made by Gunasekhar under his own direction. According to the latest news, she was asked to shed her weight as much as 15 kgs to get herself into a shape for this movie.  A Telugu daily, has published a report quoting their source, who is working closely with the project. The paper also reports that she will be following a strict regime to perfect her look for this movie and to ensure that she continues to stay in the shape she will spend more time on Yoga more than on physical workouts. It is to be remembered that Anushka has also undergone some training in ancient fights(sword fights) and horse riding in preparing for her role in 'Rudrama Devi' as well as in S.S.Rajamouli's 'Baahubali'. Anushka will be essaying the role of Rani Rudhrama Devi of Kakatiya Dynasity, in this Gunasekhar's project. As we have earlier reported, Gunasekhar is also producing this high budgeted movie under his own banner Guna Team Works. The movie will be the first Indian historical movie that is shot in 3D stereoscopic technology.

The film features many prominent cast from Tollywood, like Rana Daggubati, Aditi Chengappa, Vikramjeet Virk, Nathalia Kaur, Hamsa Nandhini, Prakash Raj, Baba Sehegal, Krishnam Raju, Ahuti Prasad, Jayaprakash Reddy and Adithya Menon. Music Maestro Illayaraja is composing the tunes for this movie. Ajay Vincent will be taking the responsibility of cinematography of this first Indian 3D stereoscopic periodic drama.
