Dookudu is on fire in this year's Nandi awards. They bagged a total of 7 awards with Mahesh Babu and Srinu Vaitla receiving for Best Actor and Best Screenplay respectively.

Srinu Vatla talking to reporters said "I am very happy that Dookudu received 7 Nandi awards. Mahesh Babu getting the award makes it a lot more sweeter. He did a brilliant job and he deserves it."

Srinu Vatla already was the recepient of the best screen play awards for "Nee Kosam" and "Dhee" in the past.

Mahesh Babu said that all the credit goes to Srinu Vaitla who is the sole master mind behind the movie. He also congratulated the entire team of Dookudu for its success.
