It has been predicted that Aamir Khan starrer “Dhoom – 3” will be super duper hit in every aspect and may break Sharukh Khan’s record of Rs.400 cr collections that is been set last year with the success of ‘Chennai Express’. But few people would have ever been dreamed that it would cross Rs.500 cr mark in collections, which is what happened now. According to the latest figures & as per the latest announcement from Yash Raj Films, the prestigious production house behind this project, “Dhoom – 3” has raked in Rs.500 cr in collections so far since its release on 20th December, 2013. Not only that, this movie has also set a new record for any Indian movie in overseas collections by raking in a whopping Rs.155 cr outside India. As of the latest figures available, the movie collected a humongous amount of Rs.357 cr in India, which makes the total gross collections ballooning into Rs.512 cr(as of the latest figures available). Even till couple of years ago, no one could ever thought of any Indian movie collecting billions of rupees and reach the Hollywood level in terms of collections. But now, Indian movies are comfortably reaching the levels of Hollywood movies in terms of collections. The Yash Raj Films have released a press statement announcing this news, “The movie has created a tsunami of collections or earnings after it was released on 20th December, 2013. We are very happy to announce to the world that the movie has collected Rs.5 billion so far and it is the first Indian movie to do so”.  

“Dhoom – 3” packs an all star cast with Aamir Khan, Abhisekh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Uday Chopra and others.
