Check Out 2 States Movie Review

News - Check Out 2 States Movie Review      ‘2 states’ the must awaited movie of the season is finally up in the screen. A lot of you must have seen it and a lot of you yet to watch. So here is a sneak peek from our side. The Nadiawala and Johar production movie 2 states, which is one of the most hyped movie so far in 2014 somewhere failed to keep up the hype in the movie. Let us first make you viz. a viz. with the characters. So the movie has a nerdy, geeky IITian turned into banker. The super hot Punjabi mom who never stops cribbing.  The bad ass father, who got more cheers from the audience than anyone else, even if his only job on screen was to break glasses. The over enthusiast and “I know everything” massi who we guess also runs a Punjabi matrimony. Then comes the MADRASI family: The sexy south Indian patola who can give complex to any north Indian dam shell. Okay sorry, we are not being racist here: P. Then comes the super grumpy dad, who has a problem smilingL. Arey sir hasne ke paise thode na lagtey hain! The mom, whose job was only to create awkward moments! The geeky brother who apparently resembled more to the brother in law. The story begins with Arjun narrating the story and we soon get to see the Tam-Bram Alia asking for beer in Bapu’s city. Well Alia you certainly is the coolest tam-Bram we have ever come across. No offence meant. :P  However Arjun was a little too shy for a Punjabi munda. The romance between the duo lasted one COMPLETE song, whoa, which covered everything from the induction to convocation and Garbah to Christmas to Holi. That requires a lot of effort man.  The couple was also seen romancing in the common toilet! Duh can you beat that? Now that the pataofying chapter is done and they also got good fat jobs, the time comes to convince the parents which definitely took 90 minutes of the whole 149 minutes movie. After all its not an easy job to convince the parents, who apparently were super grumpy (Alia’s) and always fighting (Arjun’s). You think it’s an easy task, Hell No! So the entire story more or less revolved around showing the difficulties of a cross cultural marriage.    Coming to technicalities, the movie is a complete replication of the book, with certainly no change at all. Somewhat the director has forgotten the fact that the book was written 5 years back. So at least the audience were expecting some twists and turns. Anyways the entire movie revolved more around the family drama than the love story, which apparently got too elongated. As Chetan Bhagat rightfully stated all the actors did justice to the characters. Overall it is a nice watch with a lot of scope to improvement.     Check Out 2 States Movie Review
