Laddu babu Review - not so sweet

News - Laddu Babu Review - Not So Sweet      Allari naresh has taken a lot of trouble to make laddu babu. Ravi babu, who is heavily influenced by western cinema tries to narrate this in a manner similar to his old movies. Did his mantra work this time? Let us see.   Story : Laddu babu( Naresh) is an obese man who does odd jobs to meet his ends. His father(kota) constantly makes fun of his son’s weight and his inability to get married. Kota has a dream of settling in goa which happens only if he sells the property which would be transferred to him only if laddu babu gets married. After many unsuccessful attempts, the irritated father throws laddubabu out of the house. Laddubabu is constantly stalked by a boy who asks him to befriend him.  Laddubabu finally agrees and visits his home where he meets the boy’s mother(Bhoomika). Laddubabu falls in love with a girl and tries to impress her. What happens next forms the rest of the story. Performances : Allari naresh excelled in the title role. The trouble he took for the make up is really commendable. Bhoomika’s gracing presence was also a plus to the movie. Atulith was decent as the kid. Kota was hilarious. Brahmanadam, ali, raghubabu, avs and a few others were wasted in a cameo. Poorna was ok. Technical aspects: Ravi babu’s movies always had a strong content that drove the movie. This time that is what we miss. There was absolutely no content. The story was completely illogical and the screenplay was disjointed. What an average viewer expects from an allari naresh’s movie is entertainment. There was hardly any entertainment quotient. The title block showcased the creative side of ravibabu but the momentum dropped from that moment. A few impressive sentimental scenes in the end were good but they couldn’t stop you fromleeping. Chakri’s music was ok. Nothing special about it. Cinematography was good. Final verdict: Laddubabu bores you to death instead of entertaining. Wait for the TV premiere, you can give it a pass!   Laddu babu Review - not so sweet
