In a book launch function Akkineni Nageswar Rao has said that 'the books(life stories or histories of prominent personalities) are necessary for this generation, who completely forgot the past history & ask who is Gandhi & Nehru, to tell every one how some one can come up in his or her life without any support of others'. He was the chief guest for the programme to launch a book written by the Journalist Pasupuleti Rama Rao on the life of Chiranjeevi. The book is named as 'Mega Chiranjeevitham'. Speaking in the same function, Ram Charan Tej has said that, he asked his father Chiranjeevi many times to write a book on his own life story, but always got 'no' in reply. According to Ram Charan, Chiru used to say 'Why should we write about ourself?'. He added that his father even refused others to write his bio-graphy. He said he is happy that finally a book has come on the life of his father.

Many prominent tollywood personnel like Allu Aravind have attended the book launch function.
