A recent hit malayalam movie 'Kandahar' is being dubbed into telugu so as to be released in Andhra. The movie features Bollywood Baadshah Amitabh Bachan and Malayalam Super Hero Mohanlal. The movie will be brought to telugu audience by C.H.V.S.N. Babji along with his friend D.Chakradhar. The movie will be released with the same name. Speaking to the media giving more details of the film, the producers have said that as the name indicates the movie's story is made inspired by the incident of Kandahar hijacking in 1999. Amitabh Bachan is playing a role of  a teacher whose name Loknath Sharma while Mohanlal is playing a role of Army Major Mahadevan and vilan of Damarukam movie Ganesh Venkatraman is also playing a role of Army commander in this movie. The movie is directed by a retired Army Officer Major Ravi & he is also playing a role in this movie. The movie is presently getting it's remix & re-recording works done in Ritham Theater. The movie unit is planning to release the audio in the last week of this month while they are planning to release the movie in the next month as a 'Sankranthi' gift.

Along with Amitabh Bachan, Mohanlal, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sumalatha, Journey heroin Ananya, Ragini Dvivedi, Kaveri Jha, K.P.S.Lalitha are playing some of the important roles in the movie.  Sameer Thandan has provided the music to the movie.
