In the latest setback, and what could be regarded as a crippling blow to the film’s next schedule, Ramcharan Teja has injured his nose on the set of his new Telugu film Naayak, thereby throwing the next schedule of Zanjeer featuring him with Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt, completely off-course.

Says a source from Hyderabad, “Ramcharan who is fiercely focused on his Hindi career at the moment is dismayed by the turn of events. But these things can’t be helped. He got hit on the nose while doing an action scene for his Telugu film Naayak and is being treated in his wife’s hospital in Hyderabad.  The current schedule of Zanjeer in Mumbai from December 20-28  has been cancelled.”

Apparently Ramcharan’s sudden unavailability entails  an indefinite delay in the next schedule of Zanjeer,as Priyanka and Sanjay Dutt’s co-ordinated dates are not available until February 2013.

Says the source from Hyderabad, “Ramcharan has taken the blow very badly. He  even tried to shoot with his injured nose since Mr Dutt and Ms Chopra’s dates were goingto waste. But it was impossible to shoot in his condition.”
