Depite it's pre-release controversies, Kamal Hassan's dream project Vishwaroopam is doing well wherever it is released. The hindi version of the movie 'Vishwaroop' is doing an excellent job at the Bollywood box office. As on Tuesday, 'Vishwaroop' has collected Rs.9.96 cr at the bollywood box office. All the three versions of the film are doing very well in UK & U.S.A. The movie will be released in Tamil Nadu on Thursday Feb 7th, after getting some scenes removed & got some dialogues muted upon the request of Muslim groups.

The movie is produced & directed by Kamal Hassan, who can also be seen as a lead actor in the movie. The movie has faced many pre-release controversies. First controversy was on Kamal's Plan to preview the movie over DTH before it gets released in theatres and then the controversy regarding some dialogues & scenes which were percieved by some muslim groups in Tamil Nadu as derogatory towards them. The controversies hurt Kamal Hassan so much so that he decides to leave the Tamil Nadu even India if needed to be.
