Aagadu (2014) Shankar (Mahesh Babu) is an orphan brought up by Raja Rao (Rajendra Prasad). But Raja Rao mistakes Shankar on one occasion and drives him out of the house. Later, Shankar becomes an Encounter Specialist and gets posted in Bukkapatnam, where the atrocities of Damodar (Sonu Sood) is skyrocketing. Damodar wants to build a power project there and he goes on elimination spree on those opposing it. At this juncture, Shankar comes to know about a shocking truth which turns professional rivalry in to personal too. What happens next is the crux of the story..

The film is engaging with Mahesh Babu entertainment. Plus points of the film are Mahesh Babu and entertainment.Telugu film industry is slowly getting into Bollywood blockbuster mode where a successful hero - director combination ensures great openings and revenue. The combination of Mahesh Babu and Sreenu Vaitla is enough to guarantee great collections.

A deja-vu feeling:

It can be said the movie is like dookudu-2, there are many deja-vu scenes, I think the directory srinu vaitla is yet to come out of the hangover of dookudu, he did the same in baadshah and in aagadu as well.

Thanks to Mahesh Babu and his spirited performance and the numerous comic gags, doesn’t matter if they are funny or not, that keep coming in quick succession make for a one time watch if one is so adamant on watching the film.

Aagadu is not a bad movie, but keep your expectations low, do not compare with dookudu and you may enjoy the movie.

As always Thaman invokes deja vu feeling with his songs, background music is better

Aagadu is a one-time watch, but certainly falls short of expectations
