Karthik (Nikhil) is a medical student and also a fearless atheist. There is a famous Karthikeya temple in Subramanyapuram. This temple is shut down an year back. All the curious people/journalists who try to enter temple are killed by a snake. Karthik who is sent for a medical camp to Subramanyapuram stumbles upon a few mysterious events. The rest of the story is all about how Karthik chased the mystery.

movie is all good. for the first time I see this hero so calm and so cool. great work. kudos to entire team. graphics were used wisely where ever they are needed and to what extend that are needed. people like Swathi talking blah blah. but that was missing and climax would be more better.

Thankfully here is a suspense thriller film that stays true to the genre and makes an honest attempt to keep a viewer interested. Okay, so it may not be as polished a product as aMurarior as intriguing as aAnveshana; still the fact remains that when it comes to an overall narrative, director Chandu Modeti has his basics well in place. Suspense Thriller movies have been attempted in Tollywood earlier, but Karthikeya comes at a time when Suspense thriller movies are as good as extinct in Tollywood. And that’s its USP. The History – inCartoonishway, Conversations between Blindfath –Belief, Comparisons between Science and Miracle will surely compel you while watching the film. The film ends on a note which gives a clear indication ofKarthikeyabeing developed as a franchise withPart 2in the offering. Its even interesting what the makers have to offer next. All in all, Karthikeya is a different movie with a potentially good concept. Worth a shot.
